Leadership Development Action Plan This final assignment is a synthesis of all that you have been learning in this course and applied to your professional future. Consider these questions: What aspects of leadership / specific leadership skills do you wish to develop in the next year? What actions will you take / what experiences do you need to develop? What is your timeline for accomplishing the goal(s)? And what is your measure of success / how will you know you have achieved? If these questions sound familiar, they are essentially SMART Goals (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timebound). Guidelines: You can refer to the readings, but this is NOT a research paper > this is your personal statement of commitment to leadership development. If you are an individual not ready to assume leadership yourself, then make your action plan about what you will do to develop your followership skills. In what ways can you improve the way in which you support leaders? If you are having trouble writing a SMART Goal you may use Gemini. Alternate file "types" IF you find it's easier to communicate your plan in a different format, it's fine to submit it that way (using infographics, images, slides, etc)....This is truly for you! My only rule here is no Audio submission only. Audio must be accompanied with a presentation. Should you choose this option, be aware of the following: You must answer the questions provide an explanation of why you changed the format

Alignment with Outcomes:

  • The assignment aligns with the learning outcomes by focusing on leadership development and setting SMART goals. However, it could be improved by explicitly stating how the assignment builds transferable skills.

Cognitive Demand:

  • The assignment requires higher-order thinking as students need to reflect on their leadership skills and develop a plan. Including more decision points for justification could enhance this criterion.

Authenticity/Context:

  • The assignment is situated in a professional context of leadership development, providing authenticity. To strengthen this criterion, more real-world scenarios or case studies could be incorporated.

Accessibility/Equity:

  • The assignment offers flexibility in submission formats, promoting accessibility. To further enhance equity, providing more guidance on different pathways for learners could be beneficial.
